I felt a sort of tightening of my scalp and it concerned me.
I'm afraid quartz is a material that takes special equipment in order to crystallize, and there isn't really a way that you can do it at home. You can, however, grow lots of other neat crystals! Try the following: 1. Heat a small pan of water on your stove, and once the water is pretty hot, slowly pour some salt into it. 2. Wait for all the salt to dissolve, and pour in a little more. Stir the water to help dissolve more salt. Keep doing this until you see salt at the bottom of the pan that won't dissolve. 3. While it's still hot, pour some of the water into a jar. From the top of the jar, hang a string suspended from a wooden rod, popsicle stick, or other similar thing. 4. Wait for a while and see how large of a crystal you can grow! You can do the exact same thing with sugar as well. Plus, once you've grown some crystals, you can eat them, which is absolutely delicious.
Quartz melts at a high temperature and high pressure that you will not be able to achieve with your stove at home. The bottom line that you are unlikely to succeed.
