Question:

Is using an insulation machine hard?

Considering adding more insulation to my atticI want to rent and use one of those big machines to use blow in type insulationHow hard is it to use these machines? I know its a 2 person job but are there any other tricks to doing this? Is it as simple as 1 person throwing in the material and the other person moving the hose in the attic? Any tips and tricks appreciated!

Answer:

All I have to add is use a hooded sweat shirt and tape sleeves and pant leg cuffs with duct tape, fold the end of tape so you can pull tape offPaper dust masks don't work all that well so you might consider a good painters maskInsulation makes you itch so gloves are a must.R ember insulation can get in your eyes and ears.Two5/8 water hoses taped to the blower hose works well as a communication devise.
practically any conductive matier is good for faraday cagehowever, for ease of maniuplating like, bending, solderingcopper wire is bestif your doing this with foil the go with aluminum foil.
Copper mesh is best, together with copper gaskets for windows and doors, and special feedthrough caps for power and signal connections Solid copper sheet or thick foil would work as well or better than copper mesh heavy Aluminum foil could work, but the problem is the joints, as it is very difficult to solder it.
Use copper nest, not foil is the best.
