Question:

In observance to Nat'l Toothpaste Tube Day, do you know why they started using plastic vsmetal tubes?

It is also Nat'l Buy a Musical Instrument Day!!

Answer:

try making some wraps with assorted flavored cream cheeses and soft flour tortillias, they are called pinwheels and they are really easy and great finger foodSpread the cream cheese on the tortillias, roll them up and cut them into 1 inch roundsAlso try some basic stuff like cheese and cracker and some nice homemade browniesSimple is best.
Fingerfoods can be sweet or savoryFor the sweet ones consider: brownies bar cookies cupcakes cookies For the savory ones, here's some of my favorites: mini orange muffins with cream cheese and thinly sliced honey ham mini croissants with spinach and cream cheese salami rollups: pepper salami smeared with goat cheese and rolled around a cornichon and skewerd with a toothpick cheese platter with cold green grapes fresh asparagas, cooked crisp tender and wrapped with prosciutto or thinly sliced ham mini cocktail smokies in barbecue sauce mini meatballs in barbecue sauce roast beef thinly sliced and spread with horseradish mixed with cream cheese, rollups Have fun!
It really does depend on the actual functionIs it formal or casual, sit down buffet or stand and nibble as you talk? I don't have any specific recipes as such but my advice is to keep it simple and healthyAny food looks great if it is presented wellIf making sandwiches, use 3 layers with a brown slice as the middle layerCut off the crusts and slice them into bite size slicesMake the food colourful with lots of salad garnishingHave a selection of cold meats and some french bread with small packets of butter so they can make their own sarnies Many people nowadays like cold pasta with a spicy sauce or riceTry adding some apples, pineapple, sweetcorn and sultanas to a plain bowl of cooked riceIt is colourful, healthy and filling and the flavours compliment eachother beautifully! This also caters for vegetarians!! I hope this has helped and good luck with the function.
Interesting question to which I can't seem to find a definitive answer here on the netI do hope that you pick a BA and then let the rest of know why toothpaste companies made the switchI'm assuming it was a cost saving measure So what musical instrument are you going to buy? g EDIT: I REMEMBER when toothpaste came in metal tubes and they never got holes in them just weird creases that made it diffcult at times to squeeze out all the toothpaste.
