Sun glasses often seem like mirror and reflect what is around them, yet you can see through them. What about collecting the lenses from old shades that are broken or no longer wanted and then sticking them onto a transparent plastic mask a fly's eye effect perhaps. Have also found some shiny metallic yet plasticy wrapping paper is see-through when you hold it close to your face, this would be a cheap way of covering the mask.
It sounds like your smoke detector needs new batteries. You should be able to twist it off, something like unscrewing the lid to a very large jar. In the back, you will see a small panel that you can open. Take a look in there and see what batteries the detector uses, then get new ones. Good luck!
Take out the batteries and then just put them back in after a sec. Or if your house is for some reason smokey or steamy than put a fan on the floor and point it at it.
hi yes change the battery some of the detector have a clip on one side and you pull down the cover or twist anti-clokwise and remove that way the battery wont zap you it is quite safe you can lick the 9volt battery tingles alot but not going to kill you use a good quality battery and make sure to test when finished with the test button
Though it may be electric and hooked into an alarm system, the unit will still have a battery. The battery acts as a back-up in the event of a power outage so that it will still function. The beeping is the smoke detector's way of letting you know the battery is low and needs replaced. Most take a 9v battery.
