errr Any chance your roommate is jealous? Sounds to me like youre actually a really good/respectful roommate. Maybe you should spend some alone time with her / girls night out or something. Might clear a few things up. Then if it isnt brought up, bring it up when youre both tired and at home about to sleep.
If asking questions changes someone's religion, then they really weren't secure in their beliefs in the first place. And more-so, if asking questions is detrimental to your religion, it really isn't sound in the first place.

I think you're equating atheists with secularists here. They aren't the same, as many religious individuals also value secular government and pluralism, and realize that it's my faith isn't sufficient when discussing matters of public policy and law. If you can't come up with a compelling non-religious reason why someone should agree with you, don't be surprised when they consider your argument unpersuasive.
