You cannot hook the speakers to the RCA cables. RCA cables are considered a 'low level' signal, which needs to be amplified. Speakers use a 'high level' signal. You need a piece of equipment to amplify the low level signal to a high speaker level signal. If your TV has RCA jacks on the back and an external speaker selector, use the TV as your amplifier and hook your Kenwood speakers to the external speaker connections on the back of the TV.
