Question:

kinda have XBox 360 hardware trouble: the battery pack died and i don't know if i should replace it.?

i bought the limited edition red controller that came with the play and charge kit thing mid to late last year. recently my 360 red ringed :( but i got it back a few weeks ago, but since i couldn't play it my battery pack just died inside of it (i thnk i only had 2 cells left in it). but i have been playing with it plugged in to the 360 like i did when i would charge it. everything else works fine, but i don't know if maybe a few months from now if i should buy a new battery pack, switch to using real batteries, or just keep doing what i've been doing for the last couple of weeks.

Answer:

heya, first off the battery pack is actually dead? (as in not working?) or it has just been drained completly? i suggest first off trying it with a borrowed battery pack to ensure the controller works properly, and then if not buying a new one or u can try to charge the battery pack (if its fully depleted uw ill need to turn on ur xbox and plug ion the plug and play kit to controller and the xbox and then leave the xbox on for like 4 hours without using it) i cant see why you would need to buy a new battery pack or use batteries the technology is pretty flawless so maybe its just ur controller broken or the fact its just COMPLETELY out of battery hope i helped :D
dont replace it if its just the battery pack
All what you mentioned are options. You should buy a new Plug and charge kit, its gonna look crappy either whit or black but hey thats only cosmetic.
And thats why i do not like wireless controller, they eat a lot of batteries A wired controller is the way to go!
Been doing the same thing for over two years now and hasn't affected the controller Take the battery pack out when not in use otherwise it will leak and corrode the terminals
