Question:

Know any good carpet cleaning products?

My puppy is basically almost fully potty trained and he messed up the carpets pretty bad of course...it was expected haha anybody know a good carpet cleaning product to clean well and also make the floors smell good? i have a steam cleaner (its a BISSELL) ive used it once to clean the entire area it does ok, but i was hoping maybe there is a better product out there.

Answer:

As Chris said, Natures Miricle is awesome at getting out pet stains and odors. I also have a Bissell cleaner find that using a cleaner with oxi-clean in it is the best. I usually use regular bissell cleaner add a scoopful of powdered oxi-clean to every tank of water. Works great doesn't change the rug color. Spot Shot is another great product to pretreat before using your machine.
I used to do maintainance at a large motel and we used a Rug Doctor as we found it to do the best job. A problem that you will run into will be if your puppy found one localized area to his liking or if your carpets are tacked or glued down with a pad laid underneath. I have heard of a product called Natures Miracle which is specifically for cleaning up pet excrement and eliminating residual odors although never used it. Its available in pet stores. I hope this helps.
You will try Scrape or blot messes first, and try out the remover in a hidden spot on the carpet to make sure it won't also take out the dye. or you can take professional carpet cleaner, I Know a company which is provide best carpet cleaning services that is Carpetwowplumbing .
I noticed this post is pretty old but for those who may stumble upon it. Many carpet cleaning products contain peroxide or other oxidizers. I do not believe that oxi clean will damage carpet
Oxy Clean Laundry Detergent will permanently harm the carpet dyes if the carpet is Nylon. I've seen this a hundred times. If you do use a enzyme as recommended, use these instructions. Mix the product with warm water, pour it on the pet stain, place a damp white terry cloth towel or wash cloth over the stain, pat it down flush with the carpet, and allow the solution to dry. The digested urine will wick it's way up into the terry cloth towel. Pet/animal urine stains are about the worst kind of stain you can get on your carpeting. Bacteria will begin to grow in the alkaline urine salts shortly after the staining takes place. These bacteria will grow and produce ammonia type odors which will eventually dull your olfactory senses. Before long, you will no longer notice the hideous smell emitting from the carpet. The urine penetrates through the carpet, carpet pad, and right to the floor. Topical treatments will not work because they do not go deep enough to reach the bacteria.Unless your pet/animal wears underwear, keep it off of the carpeting, furniture, and bedding. This pet is on it's way to costing you a fortune.
