Question:

Laptop and charger question.?

can I connect laptop with different charger? example. laptop is compaq and connect with dell battery. is it okay??

Answer:

yeah ur good
i dont think a dell battery will fit in a compaq laptop but if you mean a dell charger.yes its possible but only should be done if same voltage and same watts.
you can't physically insert Dell battery inside Compaq laptop.Period. If you're talking about AC-adapter(charger) then you MIGHT be able to do it but ONLY if the voltages are the same. Compare both AC adapters and see if the have the same input-output voltages AND amps.If no then do not even try it cz you might fry the whole laptop.
Great question. It would depend on the chargers in question. You would need to confirm whether or not the chargers are compatible with one another before you mix and match. The charger would need to match in terms of voltage, amperage, and connector tip. The best way to approach a situation like this is to just get the right charger for your specific laptop. Its better not to try and swap things that you are unfamiliar with. Its not uncommon for the laptop's motherboard to fry or the laptop charger catching fire (which can lead to additional problems). Its better to be safe than sorry! For a new charger, Topmic is by far the best website I have come across in terms of having good products with amazing service. I've purchased from them before and they are true to their word. Free shipping with free lifetime warranty. Meaning, if the charger you purchased from them ever stops working, they would replace it for free, forever. So when the charger I got from them about a year ago decided to just stop working, they sent me a new one for free. Its definitely a great way one can save money in the long run and its a great investment as well. I'm pretty sure they have your charger. Just google Topmic and when you get to their site, enter in the charger name or laptop model. Good luck!
In some cases you can connect your laptop to whats called a universal charger(ie can be used on many makes and models of laptops) Be sure if you are buying a charger like this to check the specifications of your laptop especially the voltage of the charger because if its different it could overheat the charger and cause many problems with the motherboard and other components of the laptop. I would advise that you buy a charger that was specifically made for your laptop by contacting compaq and have them supply you with the proper charger to save you hassle and money in the long run. Hope this helps
