Can anyone tell me which laptop brand is better? Lenovo or Acer?
Acer are like Dodge Neon's use them until the warranty runs out and throw them away.
I've heard much better things about Lenovo.
The top five brands of any computer ate HP, Sony, Asus, Toshibia or Compaq The top worst are Dell and Acer Now for dedicated graphic card the best laptops to look at would be Sony or Aces.
I've had an Acer laptop from 2006 and it's still running strong, no breakdowns ect. Though I would recommend Lenovo, they make a higher quality laptop and they are very durable.
Hi Josh, Lenovo laptops used to be IBM. They have a very good build quality for sure. Acer has also come a long way in the last 5 years and make excellent laptops. I just bought an Acer laptop after considering Lenovo, Dell, and others. The Acer TimelineX series gives more bang for the buck. I have a i5, with 500G 7200RPM drive, bluetooth, HD5450 video, 13.3 screen all for around $600 on sale dell/lenovo were a hundred bucks more or more at the time. I would say don't worry about the quality, both are good. Go for the laptop that has the features you want. Both laptops use chips from other manufacturers, Intel, AMD, nvidia, and the reliability and quality is mostly as good as the chipsets they use to build the laptops which over the years is continually getting better. I see lots of laptop issues mostly battery and charger problems resulting from abuse. Take care of your Lenovo or Acer and it will last a long time. Jeff
