HelloMy laptop is over heating, once this happen the item will go to a blank screen eventually shutting down! Why dose this happen? Is this a easy fix?
Because of the way they have to be designed, laptops are notoriously bad for over heating. A laptop that's over heating will shut down; that's normal. It shuts down to prevent damage to the vital components. It's pretty easy to fix. The best thing is to purchase a laptop cooling pad. They're available at most electronics retailers for $15 to $40 depending on what quality level you want to go for.
It`s more than likely that the fan and vents need cleaning, buy a can of compressed air to do the job.
Dust is a pretty good insulator and it will block your laptop’s airflow when it build up over time. The easiest way to clean it is to use a can of compressed air and blow it through the airflow vents. If you are handy you can also take out the keyboard and clean the inside. You can see the cooling fan on most laptop once you removed the keyboard.
i would suggest using your laptop on a flat, clean surface. if it continues to overheat, consider buying an external cooler or a suspended platform for maximum airflow.
Overheating is generally NOT an easy fix. The exact fix would depend on the make and model of your laptop, how long you have had it, what environment it was used in, whether you have replaced the power adapter (and if you replaced it with a universal adapter), the condition of your battery, whether the laptop has ever suffered any physical damage etc. You have provided none of this information, so telling you specifically how to fix it is essentially impossible. Thus, the most generic answer is also the best. Take it to a repair shop and let a professional diagnose the issue and offer you the available options. You *could* take the laptop apart yourself and examine the cooling channel, to make sure it is not obstructed with dust, dirt, and lint between the fan and the heat sink. end of line
