I have a laptop that I've owned for just over a year but the harddrives are full with unused programs and such. Is there a way of starting off with a fresh laptop? Like restoring it to factory settings? And how?
Yes, depends on the model of the laptop. Most laptops have a restore disc. Use that and choose the reformat function instead of the restore function.
Your laptop might have a system recovery option on it ,in other words it's preinstalled os on the laptop by restarting and pressing certain functions this feature will show up giving the option to restore your laptop to factory settings ,since i don't know what the model no of your laptop is check at the manufacture website under support restoring a laptop back to factory settings
