Question:

leaking copper pipes in new home?

home is 4 years old and i was told that all the pipes need to be replaced because we have been having constant pipes leaking with pinholes and had to replace sheetrock and now hardwood floors damaged from the leak and it is ongoing builder just sends contractors to give me estimate but isnt taking responsibility for the inferior pipes or construction this home was sold to me for over $400,000 and is becoming a money pit

Answer:

I agree with my peers.ai lot of inferior building materials flooded this country from overseas when our makers couldn't keep pace during the boomBelieve me-your builder knows whats going on.Call your insurance agent-he may have ideas---if that fails -its time to Lawyer up and sue the Builder.
If its cabin filters your speaking approximately they are placed on passanger area under the sprint above the floorboardsopen the passanger door and seek for under the sprint and you will see a black plastic duct with somewhat black steel strip and do away with the screw and then enable the filter out to drop downyou need to artwork it out something is uncomplicated
talk to a lawyer. Also find out if it is just your house or other houses in the same tract. If others are involved maybe you all have grounds for forcing the contractor to do something.
I remember this incident. They think that at least 60,000 homes, mostly in California and the Southeastern US, are affected by it. I feel so sorry for you. You have the standard recourses: rebuild, replace, and sue, sue, sue. I haven't heard of a standardized class action lawsuit on this thing yet, but I'm sure it's in the works. For now, there isn't much you can do except to tear out all of your walls and redo all of your plumbing and electrical. What a tragedy, all because of a $6000 drywall job using cheap Chinese material.
