What is the effect of light on pupil size? If both eyes are in bright light, what happens? If both eyes are in dim light, what happens?

Bright light makes them smaller The darker it is the larger they are

If you're in bright light, your pupils get small and if you're in dim light, you pupils get big. They have to adjust to be able to see better in the different lighting.
When your eyes are in bright light, your pupils become smaller. When you go into dimmer light, you pupils become larger. I think its probably because you need larger pupils when there isn't sufficient light for seeing. If you have a cat, its very easy to see it's pupils get larger and smaller.
Bright light should cause the pupils to contract, or get smaller to limit the amount of light entering the eye. Low light should cause the pupils to dialate, or get larger to allow more light to enter the eye. Unequal pupils is indicative of a head injury.
