Question:

List of any Iron rich foods?

My iron is low due to my heavy period and I hate swallowing the giant tablets for it.

Answer:

Iron is found in a number of food categories. Grains like whole wheat bread, oatmeal, brown rice and many cereals are good sources of iron. Beans and seeds like sunflower seeds, lima and kidney beans, tofu and soy products also contribute iron to the diet. Fruits and vegetables like watermelon, green beans and broccoli are also rich in iron. The richest foods are likver and meats like pork, beef, turkey and lamb. Hemo iron is easily absorbed and is found in meet and seafood. It can aid in the absorption of non-hemo iron.
Fruits and grains help the most.
just about anything that has a red skin, although this is also indicative of vitamin C. To add to the other answers I would like to add black-strap molasses. This is high in iron, easily added to pastries, milk and is extremely easily taken into the blood stream. My personal favorite for ease of access is to add about half a tsp or more into milk, add milk mix after the molasses is properly suspended and drink with whatever other additives you may like. It is fairly instant gratification, and if you are framiliar with the cayenne cleanse, I used to start my winter mornings off with a mix of cayenne, molasses, water, apple cyder vinegar and salt(for electrolytes).
