i have a sofa in the living room which is not against any wall rather it is in the middle. every time we sit on it it keeps moving back. i was wondering if they sell any cloth that i can put the sofa on it so that is will stop from sliding. or is there anything that i can do to stop it from sliding?
Try the no slip umder padding that's actually meant for under rugs. It comes in different sizes and may work for your situation as well.
There are those sliders that make things easy to move and then there are the others that stop it from moving. But them on the legs of your couch...the old rubber ones stop things from moving. Just read the packages.
Just glue some rubber on the feet of the sofa. A small strip of rubber will do.
Go to a hardware store or Menards, maybe a furniture store. I would try some round rubber little disks that the legs sit on/in. They should adhere to the carpet better, but you probably always will have a problem. Especiall if you PLOP on the couch rather than sitting down in a dignified, mannerly fashion. Like lowering yourself slowly and gently each time you sit.
If okorder /.. You can store extra blankets, pillows or DVD's in a trunk.
