I live along a very busy street and I am about to go postal on the inconsiderate jerks with loud exhausts. I‘m serious! Why is nothing being done anywhere about this problem? No matter where I go there is some jerk with a 4x4 truck, little peice of crap street racer, or motorcycle that obviously has an illegal exhaust system. Even snowmobiles have decibel restrictions. I can‘t be the only person that is sick of all the unnecessary noise or am I?
Any Idea what kind of car you have? If you want it to sound like a real Hemi You need an old Mopar engine at least a 383ci, Tuned headers 4 in Collectors with 3 in straight pipes Side dumps then slow down your timing so it will lope like a Hemi and not stall out But it still wont sound like my Hemi Cuda any more than a 4 into 2 will sound like my Shovel also a 2 cyl Hemi Thats the secret to the sound and the Harley lope at slow ldle
Sorry you're having to contend with that problem. Actually, I normally like the sound of a roaring, well built hot-rod engine. But to be sure, sometimes, the racket can be annoying.especially when the machine making the noise isn't really meant to be making so much of it. I don't normally mind the engine sounds or loud exhausts. What bothers me are inconsiderate morons who play their loud rap music while driving their vehicles. There are probably noise restrictions at wherever you live, and if the police catch someone, they can be ticketed. I don't know what to suggest to you. If you don't like loud noise, then it would defy the point to urge you to turn up your television or radio, to camouflage the external noise. Good luck- and God bless.
Maybe tape record or video record , in a hidden place, the violations and show it to radio and newspaper business to see if they're interested in exposing it. Maybe you can record the decible level at the same time. $220! THEN the cops will crack down. Of course don't reveil your name 'cause the criminals will paint your house or car bright RED, whatever.
