My maytage washer is making alot of noise when running why ? Its when its on the spin cycle
Maytags are good washers, but if you overload them or any other front loader (which is a common mistake), they are noisy. Ease up on the load size and you should hear the difference.
Your washer is off-balance. There are little steel wheels on each corner that you can turn to balance the machine. Or place a piece of folded paper or match book cover under one corner to balance it out. Sometimes you can just rearrange the position of the washer on the floor and it will get back into balance.
Maytags are pieces of sh!t, if you get my drift. That noise is the contact between the moving magnetic end of the spinning drum and the static assembly which holds the outer magnets. You best need to contact whom ever you bought it from and prey that you are either still in warranty or not. As I said maytags are the WORST MACHINES THAT YOU CAN BUY. Why do you think that their commercials always picture a really bored repairman. It's because you need a winch to get them out of their f/ing beds. I hope that you are fortunate in your endeavors..........
It is more than likely on an uneven surface. Washing machines need to be perfectly level or they will make lots of noise when spinning out. Get a level and put it across you washing machine. You need to level it front to back, side to side and also diagonally across. You can adjust the feet turning them until it becomes level. A word to the wise, just because it looks level, does not mean it is. I try to eyeball stuff and it never works. There is a good chance that once you level your machine, it will not look level with other things in your room. IE the wall, shelving, cabinets. That's always drove a neat freak like me nuts! But it's necessary for a quiet washer.
