Question:

Metal vs. Ceramic Braces?

I‘m going into the eighth grade and going to have them until Sophomore year. I just wanted to know what would be better; all metal, or the top ceramic and the bottom metal. I have an overbite so I can‘t have all ceramic. Pros and Cons would be great. Thank you in advance :)

Answer:

Go by the trunk sticker.
The tire pressure on the car's label is the recommended tire pressure for your vehicle. It has been calculate by the GVW of the vehicle and the rated tire capacity to give you the best chances of prolonging the lifespan of your tires. But if the sticker is missing, then go by the tire.
Ceramic are about the same price as metal, right now I have ceramic and the prices were identical. The pain is also identical, one diesnt hurt more than the other. The ceramic look much nicer than metal, if you get a metal wire (which you probably will) it mostly just looks like you're wearing a retainer. The only con to ceramic braces, is that I heard it hurts a bit more to remove ceramic, since they don't pop off like the metal do, they have to be chipped off. Also, I have an overbite but I got ceramic on both the top and bottom, maybe when the time comes you can ask about it again.
