Question:

Mohammed cartoons and Americas media hides under blanket ?

why did American‘s media (freest media in the world) not show the cartoons of mohammed on TV or newspaper NEWS ?Buddha Jesus get picked on all the time, cartoons abound, but for some reason the media are afraid of Muslims.ARE YOU ?WHY ?

Answer:

But we are no longer the freest media in the world! Nowdays, everyone is so afraid of offending someone and getting sued over it that no one wants to say anything anymore.
Most media in the USA is owned by 3 of the wealthiest men in the world and obviously the rules of conduct are now dictated by a few people of what can or can not be shown or written in the media. There were a few small independent/conservative papers who did show the cartoons, good for them. Muhammad was a man , same like Buddha and Jesus. NO MORE OR LESS than the rest of us. Life is harsh and our media should show all sides and not whitewash reality. I want our media to be free enough to show everything ! P.S. MOST Muslims believe Muhammad should not be drawn or shown at all for fear of going to hell fire. Maybe it's time for Muslims to step up to the 21st century and not hide behind thoughts that superstitious .
The New York Sun and the Philadelphia Enquirer published them and ABC News showed some of the cartoons on a broadcast. Why didn't more of the media join in on the fun? Editorial policy - most papers don't publish material which is extremely offensive to a religious group.(Would you continue to read a paper which showed images offensive to Christians, such as a crucifix standing in a pail of urine.) Further, there was little news value in showing the cartoons themselves: they were dreamed up by a right wing Danish newspaper as a publicity stunt, and they were easy to find on the internet.
