I have a 2000 Yamaha warrior and it starts sputtering and skipping the higher the rpm s go anyone have any ideas how to fix it
It is not safe but it might do it. For your safety I suggest buying a heavy duty jack that can do significantly more weight than you plan on. Most jacks have a built in factor of safety but why risk hurting yourself? Make sure to use a jack stand (cinder blocks work great) before you get under it.
You mean to just lift one corner at a time? Then ya any floor jack will work. In fact you cant lift the whole car at once anyways. When you lift up just one corner your only lifting part of the cars weight.
you should at least get a 3 ton jack or bigger, think about it like this. a half ton is 1000 pounds, your is between 5000 and 6000 pounds which is a really freaking heavy car. at any rate. to be safe get a 4 ton or attempt to use the jack you have and use jack stands to support the car so you don't hurt yourself. I hope i could be of help to you. thank you!
Make sure the spark plug is the correct number, and install a new one.
Always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions. We need all of that info to give an informed answer. Yamaha makes a 1700cc Warrior motorcycle and a 350cc Warrior quad. If your vehicle is a quad, inspect the parking brake switch. The switch is at the left handlebar lever. When the parking brake is applied, the switch turns on a rev limiter to prevent riding off with the barking brake on. A damaged switch can leave the rev limiter on, causing massive misfire preventing the engine from reving.
