Motorcycle project bike help.?
Its going to take more than a grand to get that bike restored, and parts will be just about impossible to find. I see how it caught your eye though, it does have potential. If you dont have the mechanical know how, its not going to be an easy job. After the carbs are rebuilt, they also need to be synchronized, and tuned, which will be a very hard task if you dont know how. Finding the body parts and seat will be a whole new ball game as well. They wont be cheap, and hard to find even at a breaking yard. Unless you have some good leads on parts and somone to help you rebuild it, you might want to pass this one up. It would even be a challenge for someone who does know how to fix bikes.
This is too much work for a person with little motor mechanics history. The carbs don't just need work, they are not there! This bike has never run in it's current state, and needs a whole lot to get it going. The set of carbs is likely to cost more than you paid for the bike. If you were to complete the project, you would have much more than the bike is worth.
