Question:

Motorcycle solenoid and starter issues?

I ride a Derbi Mulhacen 659 and a few weeks ago every now and again the starter solenoid would just click (rapidly like a machine gun) when the ignition was pressedAfter a few attempts you could always start itThen all of the sudden one day it would not start and just kept clickingI have checked and replaced the battery and also replaced the solanoid but it still just clicks when the ignition is pressedI've checked the connections, all seem ok, but bridging the solenoid does start the bikeI've ruled out the battery, and also ruled out the solenoid as its been replaced, but if it works when bridging the thing what an earth could be at fault? What wires should I be looking at, other than the wires from the battery to the solenoid and the wire from the solenoid to the starter (which I presume is ok as it works when bridging the solenoid)? Thanks!

If by tin foil you mean aluminium, don't! Aluminium promotes Alzheimer's.as it is made form Boxite which affects the brainThe ine owners don't want you to know this because it makes them richUse a cast iron skillet and simply cut up cabbage with carrots and onions and cook them for a LONg time, adding water as needed to keep them from brurning, and they caramelise themselves.
A fairly loud rapid clicking noise like a machine gun?.that would be low battery CURRENT to starter, faulty batteryYou ruled out the battery and the solenoid, so it could be a bad ground at the solenoid/starterMake sure you have good bare metal contactAnother old time trick is to run a second negative battery cable to a mounting bolt on the starter.
