Question:

Mould and insulation?

So my bedroom has mould all over the ceiling and the on one of the wallsThe landlord sent a mould expert in and he seems to think it is because of my blue tongue lizardWhats you thought on this? But in that half of the house it is always colder or warmer depending on the weatherSo we think there is no insulationIf it had no insulation would that be a contributing factor to the mould?

Answer:

You should look around hotels that are near Cristal City or Pentagon City(if am not mistaken there is a hotel that is connected between the entrance of the Mall and the Pentagon City station I could be wrong but I think I saw the hotel sign inside the metro pointing to the entrance, I rarely get off this station)
The problem with staying in Crystal City is that you miss out on the ambience and authenticity of D.CIt's a suburb and feels like it I suggest staying along Connecticut Aveclose to a Metro stop.
Yes, insulation could absolutely be the issueYour landlord would never admit that, however Here's what can happenIf your bedroom has inadequate insulation and it's warm in the house and cold outside, any water molecules in the air from your home are going to be attracted to the cold walls in your bedroomThis will cause condensationEventually, if it happens often enough, mold can develop Why does he think it's from the lizard? I realize they need warm, moist air but I highly doubt that would be enough to cause such a big issueIt's more likely that your room doesn't have enough insulationMold can cause a lot of health problem, especially allergiesI hope it gets taken care of soonBest of luck to you.
