You want an area rug[s], if youwould like to cover a large area. If you want o cover everything, including hall and stairs, that is wall to wall carpeting - you will spend a LOT more and may not be able to take it with you. Measure the area you want to cover - the ones in the pic will be too small [ biggest only 1.8 by 2.4 meters. ] I suggest you get one that is dry cleanable, not just spot clean. You can also get hemmed remnants from carpet dealers, much cheaper.
You need a few area rugs. In a studio apartment you cant put in your own carpeting since I am sure you are renting. I would use the rugs to split up your spaces. Use one for the living area, sleeping area, and dinning area. Make sure that they arent identical but flow well together. Check out the places below and see if you can find a few area rugs to make it feel more cozy. Bed bath and beyond Ikea Home Depot Target Wal-mart
The first rugs you are looking at are called, Scatter rugs for the most part. They should have larger sizes. Bear in mind that most carpet is made in 12 feet widths. The length can be any, but the normal room size rug sizes are 9 X 12, 12 X 12 and up. Those dimensions are in feet. The smaller rugs may be 4 X 6, 6 X 9, and some smaller. If you wish to cover the largest part of your floor, you must measure the room. Then keep in mind the 12 feet width. Do not overlook doors which must clear a rug. You may have consider a size that will avoid a door dragging the carpet. You mentioned covering the entire house, which is Wall to Wall. This requires installation. You may not be permitted to do this in a dorm room, and if you did, you cannot remove it and keep it. I noticed that some prices on that site run up to $338 and up. Those are likely room size rugs, 9 X 12 or so. A cushion underlayment will cost extra. Measure your room and start from there.
