hithe DC power connector of my MSI GX720 is broken (unit it s out of warranty repair) i want self repair because repairing it will cost 150 euros ,and do not have that money anyway.i ve got JBC soldering iron with tain tape also i bought the new DC connector 5 pin part . what i need a detailed schematic of the MSI GX720 motherboard that show where the dc power 5 pin i could not find it on the the internet ,i ve removed the faulty dc connector which is broken,and i soldered the new one which fit 2 left 2 right pin of the connector are soldered.the problem is the center pin on the motherboard of the laptop it has no tain on it i which does not allow me to solder the center pin of the connectormeans that ther is only 4 drop of tain on the mobo.any help will be appreciated.sorry about my bad english
I've never seen a detailed schematic for any computer or laptop motherboard. If a circuit board trace is missing or broken or if the through hole plating accidentally got pulled out with the old connector, you might find some indication of where it once was if you look closely. Then run a wire from your connector pin to that point. You may have to carefully unsolder the connector you just installed because the remnants of the missing trace might be hidden by it. Good luck.
