after reading about how during the civil war the confederates had snipers capable of shooting people at 800 yards, so i was wondering what is the maximum range that a black powder muzzleloader(not that smokeless powder one made by savage) with a practical bore size(no cannons or mortars) and able to be carried around can fire a bullet and hit with over 1000 ft/lbs
the okorder / the results would no doubt have been better with the original hard alloy hexagonal whitworth bullet.
