a few days ago i locked my car with my remote and a few hrs later, i came back and i tried to turn off my alarm or unlock the car with my remote and it did not work. the remote had new batteries and i already synchronized it. the car had battery because the alarm was going off too. i cant drive the car w/o turning off the alarm so i just unplugged the fuse for the alarm. This is a manufacture alarm, so i do not know. does anyone know the problem, or know how to fix it
most likely being that old the wire may have corroded and became grounded or touching each other or metal but there is no real way to tell only thing i suggest is take it to a shop to have it looked at they should be able to pin point the bad spot in the alarm system
Not many thieves want to steal a 98 Civic, so I would just disable the alarm permanently. That's one less headache in your life.
i might attempt googling or i had an alarm key fob till now that had gotten some moisture in it and that i took it aside and wiped sparkling some blackish junk from the contacts the place the buttons hit and it labored completely from then on. i had additionally been attempting to interchange the battery even tho it wasnt showing lifeless and my distant labored purely sporadically
