I've taken her to the vet 3 times.Twice they had to express her glandsThe vet says to give her high fiber cat food and to see if any allergens are aroundMy questions are the following.(1) What is the highest fiber cat food brand?(2) Is it easy to express anal glands? Could I manage it?(3)Is this a sign of cancer or a worse condition?
Okay 1You should listen to the vet and not the other suggestion and stay with a high fiber dietMy suggestion is science dietYou can get it at your vets office, they have low calorie ones, high fiber ect2Expressing anal glands especially on a cat is incredibly difficult and potentially dangerous for your cat if you attempt it yourself3There's a possibility there could be an underlying issue, but unlikelyIt's just the way your cat was made I would suggest taking your cat in once or as needed a month to have his anal glass expressed by people trained to do it.
