i got a new Nvidia gtx 460 which requires more power than the motherboard can provide and has two 6 pin (2x3) power connectors. Unfortunately, i have no idea how to connect them to the power supply. I currently have a 500 watt power supply, so do i need to upgrade it, or is the problem simply the one of finding the right cables and/or adapter?
if you're going to spend $70 on a half-baked power supply only to spend $120 on a better one in 6 months, I think you should ask your father for the $50 difference and do it right the first time - I'll bet he would cough up the cash if you would do some special chores or something
