Well, I know that a horse feels most comfortable in temperatures ranging from around 55-45 degreesSo during the day i would use the fall blanket, and during the night, depending on wind and temperatures, i would put the winter blanket onHowever, there are a few things to consider, like, is there a run in shed to escape the wind and elements? if so, the you might just leave the fall blanket on overnightThe second thing to consider is the horseWhen you work your horse, is she prone to sweating? if she easily gets worked up, or sweaty then again, you might just keep the fall blanket onAnd finally, just go by how you feelA shaved horse is feeling about the same as your are with a sweater or light coat on, so if you feel a little cold, then put her fall blanket on, and if you begin feeling freezing, and your fingers and toes get numb, then I would definitly switch her to the winter blankethope this helps!
