Question:

My husband needs more fiber in his diet, any suggestions?

I need help in planning dinnerWould someone tell me some high fiber foods that taste good too?He has diverticulitisAny suggestions on that as well?

Answer:

Help neighbors with things like gardening, walking dogs, etcand charge a small fee for itThen save the money you get from that.
When I was your age I use to wax cars for $$$$$ I would get paid approx$35.00 or $40.00 a carEasy fast money.
ask a couple of your neighbors if you can clean their house, scoop snow or any kind of choir they may need help with.
Find chores that people in your neighborhood are willing to pay you cash to doDepending on the weather, you might be able to mow lawns or clean guttersYou might clean out a few garages for people, or wash their cars Just go around to your neighbors, asking if they have any odd jobs that they'd be willing to pay you to doDo the best-possible job each time so that your customers/neighbors are satisfied with your hard work, and enjoy the money that you earn.
Here's a highfiber dessert, of all thingsHe'll probably eat this without complaintYou can substitute fruit pie filling for the cranberry sauce, but I like it best in the original form (with the cranberry sauce.) CRANBERRY CRUNCH 2 cups rolled oats 1 cup flour 2 cups brown sugar 1 cup butter or margarine 2 tsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp ground nutmeg 1 tsp ground cloves 1 16oz can wholeberry cranberry sauce Mix dry ingredients thoroughly, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs Press about 2/3 of the mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased (or sprayed) 9x13 baking panStir cranberry sauce and spread evenly over thisSprinkle evenly with the remaining 1/3 of the crumb mixture and pat lightly to smooth it out a bitBake about 45 - 50 min at 350 degrees Fahrenheit It should be bubbling around the edges and somewhat browned when it's done (The 'toothpick test' doesn't work on this one.) Cool slightly in pan before cutting.
