My own diet plan?

so I'm thinking about starting a quot;diet planquot; of my ownI would eat fruits 3 times a daydrink a lot of water and watch what I eat at homeI know I need protein but I don't know what I should eat I mean chicken of course because I love chicken hahah but what kind and from where? if that even makes senseI am overweight and I definitely want to lose about 30-50 poundsand I know I should exercise too lol but help? :)
