I have recently had a pallet expander put in my mouth, I am a freshman in high school. When I talk my words slur together and I have a lisp now. Can any one help me? This is very embarrassing, and all I have herd from people are stories of how bad their pallet expanders were.=[
When I was young our house smelled of what ever mom was cooking for supper that evening. I remember her making liver , bacon and onions, it always smelled so good, Until i tried eating the Liver then I would gag and run to spit it out. I remember our church had a certain smell, that I notice most church's have. could be from the place being closed up all week long, the smell of the hymnals etc.. However we had one smell in our church that I have never smelled any where else. We had a huge sand box in the basement ( on legs ) for the 2 to 4 year olds. When you went in the basement , you could smell that sand in an in-closed area, have only smelled it once since , and I was correct, it was an indoor sand box. Smells can bring back memory's the same way a photo can! Thanks for the reminder.
Do what we do and cruise the light industrial areas on a Sunday morning looking for stacks of pallets near the dumpsters. Don't go behind locked fences and don't take four-ways as there is usually a deposit paid on those so you could get nailed for theft. You could also approach businesses that have items delivered on pallets on a regular basis and ask them if they will call you when they have pallets to dispose of. Honestly, it saves them money so they should be willing to help. Have fun. I've built all sorts of things out of pallet wood. So much of it is oak. What I don't use for projects I burn in my wood-burning stove during the winter to stay warm. Free wood. Gotta love it.
