My smoke detectors keep going off! What to do? please read what ive done already. HELP!?1st I took the battery out then it started chirping. That was ok with me then after about 3 hours later they go off again? strange. So I go to Walmart n buy new batteries. Then I replace them. They are still chirping. Then they go off one more time. They r still chirping! Its Sunday morning and the emergency maintenance cant come out till I put in a written equest monday. How do I stop em from chirping?
You can buy small ones for your house at Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware, Walmart, Target, lot of places like that. Larger ones like you find in comercial buildings are special ordered or purchased from a store that specializes in fire protection equipment.
Those quick oil change guys always recommend repair you don't need. If a shock doesn't leak, it probably is not bad. Push down on the car's fender and see how fast it bounces back up. If it bounces more than twice, the shock isn't damping. Changing struts is an awful lot of work and they probably don't use quality parts at the oil change shop. Get a second opinion. My 98 Corolla doesn't need shocks and I've bombed a number of speed bumps. If your car needed shocks the tires would develop a scalloped wear pattern.
