my hamster lives a completely single live, but she got a cut on her cheeki'm worried that it may have something to do with the fact that she keeps on gnawing on the bars of her cage.please include:1how she may have gotten the scratch2why you think she gnaws the bars of her cage(and yes, she has other things to gnaw on)3any other advice you think might help me.
i doI think if it still looks good enough to use it again , why notYou are reusing and reducingThats good;)
Yes, as long as you know there are no burnt spots on the foilWhen I bake cookies, that do not require butter on the pan, I use the same pan, lined with foil, for the whole batch.
As far as how she got the scratch, she probably gave it to herselfIt it looks like it is healing, don't worry, but if it looks really red, if she seems distressed, or if it happens often, take her to a vetShe probab;y chews on the bars for two reasons: Boredome, and trying to get outTry to get her more things to do in her cage, such as a wheel and more chewey thingsAlso, if possible, try to take her out of her cage more oftenMost hamsters love roaming around in balls, and it will help alleviate some of her boredomThese behaviors are completely normal and nothing to worry about.
As long as you don't use it for meat and the for vegetables, or raw meat and then cooked meat, you should be OKBut as it's only cookies, you should be OKJust let the foil cool before you re-use it.
