Question:

my two AA's battery pack started hissing.?

I was playing with my FM transmitter, and in an attempt to amplify its signal I attactched a 2 AA battery pack instead of its normal 2 AAA. But this pack started hissing when I had it connected any playing. why? Did the hissing was from the pack, not the transmitter. the pack is cheaply made and slightly bent, but why did it hiss?thanks

Answer:

Obviously the new battery pack was connected to your transmitter terminals with wires of some length. These wires possibly act as antennas of certain wavelength, interfering with the transmitter's signal and existing internal/external antenna, which is perceived by you as hissing. Furthermore you did not achieve any signal amplification because 2 AA batteries give the same voltage as 2 AAA batteries but probably for a longer time. In conclusion if you want better signal go to a better transmitter.
IDK the answer to your question but the football player in your avatar is quite talented IMO.
adding 2 AA batteries wil not increase your sound quality at all. put the AAA back in,
