Question:

nailpolish on the carpet :/?

so i accidentally got some nailpolish on my carpet any ideas for how to get it out?

Answer:

Probably the best thing would be nail polish remover or paint thinner; but be sure and test a bit on the carpet under the couch or something first. If that won't work or damages the carpet, you might have to let it dry and scrape it off the best you can. If all else fails, you might need an area rug to just throw over the spot.
depends on the color of the carpet. don't use remover if the rug is colored. you might just have to deal with it.
I feel nail varnish remover might be high-quality or any stain remover, so it dissolves the solvent within the nail polish. But the only factor i might watch out of is if your carpet that could get modified considering the fact that of the nail varnish however I feel it'll be adequate. Other than that I cannot feel of some other rationale why it might bea hindrance making use of nail polish remover
It is simply amazing how often nail polish makes it onto carpet, or furniture, instead of nails, lol I'm afraid the attitude towards nail polish is entirely too lax... here is why... Carpets these days are made of synthetic fibers.... and when you try to use nail polish remover to remove nail polish, it WILL DAMAGE THE CARPET FIBERS. This results in fibers melting (chemically) or being permanently stained! Nail polish removers often contain Acetone. Acetone is a very harsh and effective chemical stripper -- it will not only damage carpet fibers, but it will also damage vinyl tile, and wood finishes of all sorts. I'm afraid your best bet at this point, is to try to scrape the nail polish out, or have that section of carpet removed, and replaced. A good carpet tech can patch the section for you, but it may still be a noticable patch. Unless you want to make a habit of cutting holes in your carpet, I'd advise a little more care when handling the nail polish, heheheh ;) Good Luck
