I know enough about kepping a mower running smooth with fresh oil, fuel, etcI am 18 yrs old.I would like som feedbackThanks

Answer:

You have a bad battery. It can show full charge and still have no capacity to produce cranking amps. The charger unless it is one of those that puts out 50 amps, will not help that much. If a car battery starts it, that is your clue. The only other thing it could possibly be is the starter motor itself is about dead and it takes too many amps to do its job, but I think if you put a new battery on it you will solve your problem.
Take that cable off the tractor. if it is the positive cable it will be attached to the soleniod, if it is the negative cable it will be bolted to the tractor body. Either way remove it and take it to Autozone and the counter guy will take the nut/bolt out for you. Than all you have to do is clean up the end of the cable and put it back together.
If you have a pair of electrician side cutters, they should be able to cut the wire near the connector that needs to be replaced. If not an inexpensive hack saw and a fine blade will let you cut the bolt or the cable as you need. You can get new wires and connectors at an auto parts store.
it seems to me that just cutting the cable is NOT what you need because the battery connector will still be connected to the battery with that rusted bolt, right? i'm not you, but like the other answer said maybe a hacksaw is what you need to try to cut that bolt without ruining the lead connector. the only thing i might try to do is try to force something between the battery terminal and the rusted bolt in order to get the terminal off of the battery. lets say maybe a screw driver WITHOUT ruining the battery terminal. all your trying to do is loosen that lead terminal so you can get it off the battery. if you can get it off with the rusted bolt still attached you might be then able to get the bolt out somehow. if not you buy a REPLACEMENT END FOR THAT CABLE at an auto parts store. you can then just cut that END of the cable off and attach the new end onl, not the whole cable. good luck to ya
