Question:

Need advice on what I should do about a car?

Money is tight we all know this. My current car has been in the shop twice and has yet to recieve its June inspection sticker do to the same EVAP problem. I replaced numerous parts and at this point just sick of it. I‘ve been getting rides to work from my boss but I‘m getting depressed. Im not sure if going to a buy here pay here for another car is a good idea but mines been with me for 4 years. Every inspection is a struggle. So with that said can you give me ideas? Also saving money would be great if I had it to save. Eating and my daughters support is more important at this time. I have $70.00 at the end of the week for food.

Answer:

I would sell your problem child and try to buy a Toyota Corolla or a Honda Accord ! Good cars , with few problems . I have a 96 Tacoma and it passes every time, no problem . See if you can afford a 90's Toyota !
Sell the car, get a bus pass, get a lift to work from your boss and pay him some gas money. Any car you buy is going to likely cost you more in payments than the repair bill to get a car to pass your inspection. And who is to say another cheap car won't have some problems in short order. Buy cars with cash. Take a spending diet and just go carless. the money you save on insurance and repairs and gas should get you squared away in short order.
