My house is 10 years old and I live in the northern MidwestIt has 6quot; walls, with R19 on the exterior walls + visqueen and also there is house wrap (Typar) on the outside of the exterior wallsAdditionally the inside of the exterior walls were sprayed with 1/2quot; urethane insulation.I've been fighting high utility bills for years and have reduced my electric usage substantially but I still think the walls are leaking heat in the winter because I can see the outline of the studs from outside the house in low temps.Is there anything that can be done that's cost effective?
i'm in michigan the best thing i ever did was new windows( kinda pricey) attic insulation( only about $300-$400) did it myself on a sat save a ton of money
