Question:
need help lifting my jeep?
i have a jeep with stock suspension and am wondering if it is possible to lift it with just shock absorbers. i know you can buy new coil springs to lift a car, but can you just buy taller shocks?
Answer:
No the shocks by themselves will not lift anything, But if you do lift it you will need taller shocks or new points to attach the old ones. You can add new shocks that are pumped up with air, but by themselves ,they are not enough, you will need to adjust your suspension geometry, wheel alignment
No, the only shocks that lift a vehicle are air shocks.
no, the only way to lift vehicles suspension is with taller springs or some type of spacer or longer shackles/add a leaf for leaf springs and if you have torsion bars you CAN crank the torsion keys down real tight but you just end up with weird handling and wear patterns, its a red neck lift really.
