Question:

Need help storing an electric guitar.?

Okay my mom has a fender jaguar that belonged to her dadShe doesn't play it and keeps it in a hard case in the atticI read that keeping an electric guitar in the heat or cold could damage itThe attic has no insulation so I was wondering if it would be a better idea to store it somewhere elseAny suggestions? Thanks.

Answer:

Stick a piece of thin/light rolled up cloth in it.
You can probably use it without that little liner, I would try it WHILE YOU ARE HOME the first timeThere is always a crock pot or four or five at my local thrift store if you feel more comfortable replacing itSomehow these end up being sold unused or almost unused a lot.
vent? on crock pot? mine don't have vents! some the lid just fits down on the crock and some have a rubber ring that sits on the crock, but none have vents!
Try looking on line for a replacement piece I'm not sure it will work the way it shouldBut I use a pressure cooker all the time , and my rubber band split , had to order a new oneIt wouldn't work rightAlso found while ordering , it was cheaper to order several at onceSo that's what I did.
That doesn't sound good at allIf this is a fairly old Jag it could be worth a lot of money and leaving it in a attic that is not heated or air conditioned could do some damage for sureI mean a guitar doesn't take up that much room, just stick it in the corner of a closet.
