i have very thick hair, is there any way to keep it straighter longer so it doesn't poof out

Why don't u chemically straighten itIt cost a lot but last until it comes outI do that on people and they love itThe you cant have highlights in your hair and have to deep condition iti would give it a tryIf not use a ceramic flat ironAlso use a thermal spray for each sectionsThermal sprays help hold the frizz down
