Need to lift car 6 inches?

i have a olds 88 and i want to lift it i just dropped a 455 v8 and it dropped my car by alost 4 inch im having problems with suspension can any tell me whats the best way to get 6 inches to a foot lift!!

take out or find out the stock spring size.dimensions or/and specs.you'll want thicker spring same height or slightly taller.as options go the junk yard and what to look for.some trucks may have similar types that can be used.if lucky the yard personnel will have a cross Reference for your spring application. to boost the carfrom one end, you'll choose 1000 lbf, so for 5 squareinches, this can require 2 hundred psi. To turn the vehicle, you'll prefer to boost up the vehicle very much, so determine you'll prefer to achieve 4-5 g's, perhaps more advantageous. this can meen you'll choose some thing like 1000 psi. no longer a sensible decision to be operating with. you want a more advantageous cylinder. i have a oldsmobile 88 too and my back end use to sit low until i put new struts and springs on it. in the front of yours you might be able to use spring spacers but get the kind that has bolts instead of the kind that twist in.
