How does a Net book compare to a laptop?
Most of the stuff you've heard is probably true. Netbooks are smaller than laptops. They can be from 7-9 inches long, making it easier to take with you literally anywhere. They also weigh a lot less, contributing to the portability factor. In exchange, netbooks suck in performance. Netbooks will be fine for internet browsing, homework, and movies. Not much else. A laptop can do intensive or business-type work on the go (such as video editing), whereas a netbook will provide casual performance. Other factors to consider are the keyboard and price. Because of the small size, many netbooks have cramped keyboards, which is a dealbreaker for some people. Netbooks generally cost less than laptops (you can get one from 200-300 dollars, more or less). However, a laptop may be a better price after 3 years (less repairs, increased efficiency while traveling). The decision between netbook and laptop comes down to the needs of the user. For a frequent traveler looking to read news on the go or watch movies on the plane, a netbook should be fine. For a graphics artist or CPA that needs to crunch numbers or render movies, a laptop would be more suitable.

well w/a net book, you can carry it around easier and it's convenient, but compared to a note book you can't store as much on it and can't download as complicated things on to it so it all depends on what you need it for if you need to take it everywhere and just want it to type and go on the internet go net book if you want to keep lots of things on it and download complicated software (like if your a gamer or something) go note book
A netbook is a laptop with a small screen (10-12 instead of 13-17 for most laptops), a really weak processor (single core 1.6GHz instead of dual core 2.0GHz-3GHz, so it's less than half as powerful), little RAM (1GB compared to 2-8GB in other laptops), and a somewhat small hard drive (some netbooks include small solid state drives, but more and more are now including conventional hard drives). The only advantages it has over other laptops are price and portability.
