Network Bridge, Need Some Clarification?

Hello, I have a question regarding bridging network connectionsPlease correct me if I am wrong but from my understanding when you bridge connections you are allowing 2 different network IP addresses to be used on the same networkFor example you can have your broadband IP address used on the local network if you have created a network bridgeMy question is, what are the advantages of creating a network bridge? When you have on static IP address from your ISP have them all point to one web server because you do not want to purchase more IP addresses - Is this done by bridging the connection to the web server?Sorry, hope that I am not asking for too much but any help would be greatly appreciatedThanks in advance.Max,
