Question:

Networking two linux virtual machines?

Hello folks,I am running WinXp and have two instances of ubuntu running on vmware serverI don't have a problem getting either of these guests OS talking to the host machine or the internet (I can do this via bridge or NAT) but I do have a problem getting the two guests communicating with each otherAny ideas or suggestions on how to get these two unbuntu instances to communicate without getting the host involved? I am trying to create an isolated network but is having difficulty finding online resources that is helpful.ThanksJC

Answer:

I'd use parchment paper.like wax paper but it doesn't burn and it's made for bakingOr use PAM instead of butter.
I use Butter flavored Pam Spray.
put seperate IP addresses and see if they can ping each otherHopefully the network card can handle this or you may need 3 seperate NIC's.
