ive seen commercials for this new straightener that has a iron thats a half circle on the outside of the iron, so all you have to do is twist your hand a little and you go from straight to curlyi need it! but i cant remember what its calledanybody know??
i agree with frying them in oil they get mushy in the oven

I've made oven-fried sweet potatoes, and also Sweet Potato Chips, which are WONDERFUL! I don't have a deep fryer though (maybe Santa will bring me one), so I just toss the cut wedges in a plastic bag with olive oil, Kosher salt, a touch of brown sugar, and pepper - and bake at 400-425 about 20 min The chips need to be cut super thin though; and I put them on a rack on my baking sheet.
