I have a new laptop and I want it to connect to the internet. I have a desktop, 2 other laptops, and a wireless router.The other laptops run well on the wireless router.I need help connecting my new laptop to the internet. Any suggestions?
I was having this same problem, but fixed it by disabling something. I hope this will work for you too. Follow these instructions: StartControl PanelNetwork Connectionsright click on your wireless cardPropertiesWireless Networks tabclick on the wireless router connection you havePropertiesmake sure the Data Encryption is disabled, and the Network Authentication is set to Open. Like I said, this worked for me, but it might not work for you. If no one else's suggestions help, I would contact your ISP or whoever made your computer/router. ie: Dell. Good luck to you!
